What We’re Watching

Trending is not a list of whatever is loudest. It is a short list of market questions where new evidence could change the story.

1. Inflation gets the final word

August producer prices arrive Thursday. Consumer prices and real earnings follow Friday. The useful question is not whether one number sounds “hot” or “cool,” but whether the reports agree—and whether they differ enough from expectations to change the interest-rate path priced by markets.

2. Rates versus the reaction

A market move after CPI is not evidence by itself that inflation has permanently changed direction. We will separate the reported data from the market’s interpretation, then watch whether the reaction holds after the first headline-driven move.

3. Bitcoin still has something to prove

The June low held and the bottoming attempt remains credible. But support holding is not the same as a confirmed new bull market. The unresolved question is whether Bitcoin can absorb the overhead supply identified in the latest analysis.
